THE CAPACITY ROOM • PERTH

Finish Strong, Not Frantic

A networking evening for people leaders who are running the last stretch of the year on empty — a room of peers, a real conversation, and pragmatic way to get you to Christmas.

SOUND FAMILIAR?

By November, capable people
are running out of capacity.

The work gets more crunched. Budgets, reviews, reporting, handovers and everyone else’s “can we just done before Christmas” all land in the same next six weeks — usually on the people who carry the workload conversation for the whole organisation.

Information overload is a serious concern for the workplace; affecting our productivity, decision-making, and work quality.

Join us for an engaging and insightful evening exploring how to make work clearer, more manageable and ultimately more sustainable.

Productivity isn't just about doing more

When everything feels important, everything competes for attention.

Emails arrive. Teams messages ping. Meetings multiply. Priorities shift. New initiatives are added. Systems change. Decisions need to be made.

When our environment becomes harder to make sense of, we use more of our limited cognitive capacity simply trying to navigate the work — before we’ve even done the work.

The result can look like:

  • People constantly reacting rather than prioritising
  • Too many competing priorities and everything feels urgent
  • Work becoming fragmented across the day
  • Important tasks remaining open or unresolved
  • Teams creating work for each other without realising it
  • Difficulty planning because priorities continually shift
  • Capable people feeling overloaded by work they feel they should be able to manage

The Capacity Room has been designed for people who influence how work gets done within their organisation.

What you can expect

The event for Perth leaders is hosted and facilitated by Eve Broenland. Small by design: enough people to make real connections, few enough that everyone gets to speak.

This November we’re taking on the end of the year — how to decide what genuinely has to land, how to renegotiate the rest without losing credibility, and how to protect your own thinking while you do it.
